NO vs NONE
NO：
◆ NO is a determiner and is used with a noun.
◆ NO是限定词，后面需要加名词。
◆ It means “not a, not any”.
◆ 意为“没有；无”。
★ Andy will have no difficulty finding an apartment.
= Andy won’t have any difficulty finding an apartment.
★ 找间公寓对安迪来说不是一件难事。
★ We’ve got no time to waste.
★ 我们没有时间可以浪费。
★ He has no money, no car, no dwelling, but he has the most essential thing – a soul.
★ 他没有钱，没有车，没有住所，但他有最重要的东西 - 灵魂。
★ I have no money, no resources, no hopes. I’m the happiest man alive.

★ We have to walk home because there were no taxis.

NONE:
◆ NONE is a pronoun. It replaces countable and uncountable nouns.

◆ We use NONE without a noun.
◆ NONE无需加名词。
★ When he was tight on time, he wasted none.

★ I have answered every single question, but my opponent has answered none.

★ Andy has three apples and Cathy has none.

Subject-verb Agreement 主谓一致:
◆ When NONE is the subject of a sentence, the verb can be singular or plural depending on what it is referring to. If it refers to a singular noun, take a singular verb. If it refers to a plural noun, take a plural verb.
◆ NONE作主语时，动词可用单数，也可用复数，取决于它替代的名词。如果替代的是单数名词，动词用单数形式。如果替代的是复数名词，动词用复数形式。
★ She was asking for advice, none was given.
★ She was asking for tips, none were given.
★ 她在征求建议，但没有征求到任何建议。
★ I’ve always looking for inspiration. None ever comes.

NONE OF:
★ He has none of his father’s talent.
★ 他一点都不像他父亲那样有才气。
★ The matter is none of my business.
★ 这事与我毫不相干。
◆ NONE OF + a plural noun or pronoun as a subject of a sentence, the verb can be singular or plural. NONE OF + an uncountable noun as a subject of a sentence, the verb is singular.
◆ NONE OF后面若接的是复数名词或复数代词，作主语时，谓语动词可用单数也可用复数；若接的是不可数名词，谓语动词用单数。
★ We have three sons but none of them lives/live nearby.
★ 我们有三个儿子，但没有一个住在附近。
★ We took a few photographs but none of them were/was very good.
★ 我们拍了几张照，但没有一张很好看。
★ None of his colleagues know/knows the truth.
★ 他的同事没有一个了解实情。
★ None of the shops were/was open.
★ 没有一家商店开门。
★ None of us have/has ever been abroad.

★ None of the money was paid to me.

◆ Don’t use NONE OF when there is another negation within the sentence.
◆ 当句中有否定词时，不要用NONE OF。
★ She doesn’t know any of these people.
